Great mid week runs with 8:00 average paces. I switched to evening runs and met my Mom for her evening spinning class. The sinuses are doing much better with the local honey. Two coworkers told me to mix the honey with apple cider vinegar to help with allergies.
On Saturday, I spent the day with my Foster Daughter which included time at the NuLu festival. I mainly wanted to show her ” The Before I Die” community art exhibit. A woman from New Orleans by the name of Candy Chang was inspired to spearhead an international project after she lost a loved one.
I maximized my time on Saturday because I had a 4:30 wake up for a 20 miler on Sunday. I will be modifying my schedule to include shorter runs during the week and adding another 20 miler at a slower pace. I want longevity out of this lifestyle and need to take it easy to avoid injury. Ain’t nobody getting paid for this. 🙂
I have a new method for ice baths. Today, I kept my clothes on which included a hoody I put on while I was stretching. I used a block of ice and sat waist deep in the cold water. I had a mug full of green tea and talked/texted. Before I knew it, 40 minutes had passed.
