As runners we all have been asked the question: “How many miles is your next marathon?” The word marathon is sometimes substituted for different race distances, even a 5K.
The folks at Rock and Roll Marathon issued this infographic that will shed some light on the distance and the hard word required to finish.

As soon as I read your post title I laughed because I’ve been asked this so many times.
That infographic rocks! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

LOVE the infographic!! Since I don’t run for weight loss or anything I never pay attention to that stuff. But it sure is interesting!

That it does. I think I might be one of those oddballs who doesn’t run to “get lean” or anything. Distance athletes…don’t lose weight running. We do tone…LOL!
I get the “runchies” and “rungary” a lot.

A fellow blogger, Thedancingrunner, posted a Russian Twist move that would be good for the abs. I used a 12lb medicine ball for them.

I’m surprised at the average pace. I though it’d be much slower. Anyways, please don’t post stuff like this again, I like to be ignorant when it comes to putting marathons in perspective! 😉

😁 I wonder how many tacos it would take to equal the caloric burn of 26.2
