Beating the crowds to get to the Detroit Auto Show early on opening day to the public.
Entering GM’s World Headquarters to hop the People Mover:
Skipping the Cobo stop so Nylia could get a view of downtown. Joe Louis Arena memories of the Rihanna concert.
Inside the update Cobo Hall with a statue of Joe Louis. My Dad’s middle name comes from this champ.
Crowds were very manageable and mostly friendly. The displays of over 500 cars was well light from floor to ceiling.
Chevy set up a video booth van with props. A 7 second video is recorded and moments later a flip book is printed with all the still shots. They also gave out yellow sunglasses.
All the above took 2 hours and the post Auto Show Shuffle bagel had worn off. We walked towards the newly remodeled Riverview Ballroom. Downstairs there was a food court and more displays. I ate 2 coneys and started on a pound of turtle fudge.
This lady told me I was made for this bike. No peddles to spin. I’ll pass.
Back upstairs…
